What is coaching?

There are many aspects of your personal and professional life that coaching can positively impact.

Specifically, coaching is about and helps with:

  • Clarity

  • Awareness

  • Planning

  • Accountability

Clarity of your "why"/purpose, future vision, goals, and measures of success.

Awareness of the many options and possibilities in your grasp, limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging behaviors, and the power of your choices and environment.

Plans for a path forward with specific goals and actions.  Coaching helps you design a strategy needed to achieve success.

Accountability to ensure you do what you said you'd do by the date(s) you set.  A coach will let you know if procrastination sets in or discipline begins to deteriorate.

what coaching is not

  • Therapy

  • Mentoring

  • Consulting

While each of the areas above have a tremendous amount of value, coaching is uniquely different in that it is 100% focused on the future and working with you, as the client, to unlock the potential inside of you through self-discovery.

You will not be told what to do or how to do it.  That should feel super empowering.

as your coach, my role is to...

Facilitate a conversation and ask a lot of questions; however YOU, as the client, control what topics we discuss.  Coaching is 100% about you and what you believe will make the largest impact on achieving your goals.

Challenge you to do and be your absolute best.  As you are being coached, there will be some uncomfortable conversations that stretch your thinking and abilities.  This is part of the growth process.  I would not be adding value, as your coach, if I did not challenge you to think and act outside of your comfort zones.

Celebrate each success (big or small).  With each win comes positive momentum that will increase your confidence and performance over time.  I'm committed to celebrating the large and small wins that help move you closer to achieving your goals.

so...are you ready for coaching?

In order to achieve the greatest results and make the best use of your time through coaching, it's important to be self aware and know if coaching is right for you and that you are ready to be coached.  Start by answering these questions:

Do you have a goal that you are motivated to achieve over the next 6-12 months?

Are you prepared for some discomfort?

Are you open to change the way you think and act?

Are you prepared to put in the work and invest the time to take actions that will move you forward?

If you answered "no" or aren't sure about any of the questions above, you may not be ready for coaching and that is TOTALLY okay.  Everything has a season and when the time is right, you'll know.

If you answered "yes" to all of these questions, you may be ready to explore coaching.  I'd love to have an exploratory conversation with you to better understand who you are and what you're trying to accomplish with coaching.  After our conversation, we'll both have a better sense of whether coaching is the best solution for your needs.  Let's chat.
